This year's Latin American Film Festival (LAFF, 6 -14 may) is gonna feature this cool documentary about sports (and music of course). On thursday May 13th there will be an open air screening of Why Jamaicans Run So Fast? @ The Ledig Erf, Utrecht (Check the event on Facebook here). LAFF again wisely chose The Elephant Soundsystem to host the afterparty @ the Louis Hartlooper complex. Just like last year, we're gonna mashup the place!
About the documentary: A story that reveals how music and athletics have become ways to escape from poverty and violence in Jamaica. This allows us to get closer to the harsh reality that shapes these young athletes. Also featuring music by Jah Cure, Malijah, Sizzla, Big Youth, Lutan Fyah, Queen Ifrica,The Tamlins, Justin Hind and the Dominoes, Max Romeo, Garnett Silk, Movado, Bugle and Etana.
